Bell Bay Industrial Precinct Development Plan

ERA in conjunction with Play Street and Paul Davies Architects are in the process of finalising the Domain Slipyards and Huon Quays site for Tasports. The precinct plan incorporates:

  • An analysis of the site context – including access by land and water – and physical site conditions and limitations;
  • consideration of future economic viability of the slipyards;
  • statutory, heritage, land tenure and environmental considerations;
  • potential customer, industry and community needs and desires;
  • potential development envelopes within the precinct (and likely permitted uses) that can be offered to the market;
  • direction on marine services infrastructure that is consistent with broader land use, coastal management, development strategies and plans; and
  • recommendations on potential development or relocation of land based facilities such as the consolidation of Tasports personnel and the potential relocation of fuel supply operations from Sullivans Cove.
