201 Macquarie Street will soon be home to a new architecturally designed residential apartment building.

The development will provide 39 new homes for residents looking to live in the centre of Hobart close to services and amenities. Two existing homes inside the heritage listed dwelling will also be retained at the front of the property.

Despite approval being granted by the City of Hobart, an appeal was lodged to challenge that approval. Following expert planning evidence provided by ERA, and expert architecture and heritage evidence by the project team, the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal reaffirmed City of Hobart’s decision to approve the development.

ERA is proud to support the delivery of well-designed homes in the right locations and is experienced at providing clients with considered planning advice to guide decision-making.
