ERA Planning and Environment was engaged by Preston Lane Architects, on behalf of Housing Tasmania and Centacare Evolve Housing (CEH), to seek planning approvals for social housing at 71A Letitia Street, North Hobart.

CEH is a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider that is committed to help increase the supply of housing in Tasmania. It owns or manages over 3,000 social or affordable housing properties throughout Tasmania.

The proposed development at Letitia Street was funded by a collaboration between State Government and CEH. The approved development included the creation of 29 community housing units within an infill site with easy walkability to both the CBD and public transport routes to ensure future residents have easy access to support and training opportunities.

It is expected that the approved development will greatly assist in providing much-needed accommodation to Tasmanians in need, through access to the support, shelter and safety desperately needed in the current economic environment.
