Taswater intends to expand and upgrade the Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to accommodate predicted flow from the existing Selfs Point and Macquarie Point catchments, once the Macquarie Point STP is decommissioned.

ERA has been tasked with preparing all environmental and planning documentation required to seek statutory approval for the project. This involves coordinating several specialist studies, including air, noise, land contamination, ecology, reuse feasibility and aquatic impacts. ERA engages with an established network of local sub-consultants to deliver these services and coordinates their delivery from the scoping stage through to final reporting.

Information from the project design team and specialist studies is reviewed, interpreted and consolidated into an environmental impact statement. This will be lodged with the Tasmanian EPA and local council to seek statutory approval under EMPCA and LUPAA. To achieve this, we focus on a coordinated delivery across our planning and environmental service streams, to help clients navigate the interrelated statutory approval process.

We acknowledge and respect Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the Traditional Owners of Lutruwita (Tasmania).

They are the original custodians of our land and waters. We respect their unique ability to care for country and deep spiritual connection to it.

We honour Elders past, present and emerging whose knowledge and wisdom has and will ensure the continuation of culture and traditional practices.
